About Panna

Panna National Park is a famous wildlife sanctuary located in the Panna and Chhatarpur districts of Madhya Pradesh, India. It is situated on the banks of the Ken River and covers an area of approximately 542 square kilometers (209 square miles). The park was established in 1981 and was given the status of a national park in 1981. Known for its rich biodiversity, scenic beauty, and diverse wildlife, Panna National park is is home to a wide range of flora and fauna species, including tigers, leopards, sloth bears, Indian wolves, wild dogs, hyenas, and several species of deer. The park also houses more than 200 species of birds, making it a paradise for birdwatchers.

The park offers various activities for visitors, including jeep safaris and boat safaris along the Ken River. These safaris provide an opportunity to spot wildlife and explore the beautiful landscapes of the park. Additionally, there are nature trails and viewpoints within the park that offer stunning views and allow visitors to appreciate the natural beauty of the surroundings.

The summer season (March to June) in Panna National Park is characterized by dry and arid conditions.
